STAFF
Jas Loi - Operations Manager
The practiceis managed by Jas Loi, operations manager, who is responsible for the staff, consisting of the administration, reception and the clinical teams.
We hope you find our receptionist pleasant and helpful. They are mainstay of the surgery's administration, dealing with all initial enquiries, arrainging appointments, home visits, transport etc. Please feel free to ask for help or advice if you are unsure about what services you may require.
Practice Nurses
There are five practice nurses who run various clinics, deal with immunisations, the removal of stitches, dressing of wounds, blood tests and other investigations ordered by the doctor.
Birmingham City University Nurses
There are three BCU nurses based at Perry Barr, Westbourne Road and Gosta Green sites.
They run a number of clinics to support students’ needs at these sites.
Health Visitors
The health visitors can be contacted between Monday and Friday on 0121 255 9301.
District Nurses
There is a team of district nurses attached to this practice. They may be contacted on 0121 465 5444.
Physiotherapist
A physiotherapist works at the practice. If appropriate, the doctor may refer you to a physiotherapist.
Medical Training
Our practice is committed to the teaching and training of healthcare professionals. From time to time you may find doctors, medical students and student nurses will be sitting in with the doctors and nurses at the practice to learn about General Practice. Please remember that they are bound by the same confidentiality rules as all staff. Should you wish to see the doctor or nurse alone, please feel free to say so.
For training purposes, you may find our doctors and nurses videoing the consultation. You will be asked to sign a consent form to allow this video to be used for assessment purposes only. Again, you do not have to give your consent and can ask that the session is not recorded. You can also ask for the recording to be stopped at any time.
